Kenya gives companies that missed the beneficial ownership deadline 30 days or face strike-off
On 11 April 2025 Kenya's Registrar of Companies published a list of companies that had not filed their beneficial ownership registers by the 30 November 2024 deadline. They had 30 days, to 11 May 2025, to comply and to confirm that they were still trading, or be struck off the register. The Business Registration Service continues to accept late filings.
The notice followed Directive No. 1 of 2024, which set 30 November 2024 as the filing deadline for private companies.
